The Kerrville Rug Hookers, Kerrville, TX mourn the loss of member LoisLee Ewing. Group member Karen Maddox sent in a lovely tribute to her: "LoisLee Ewing, a member of our Kerrville Rug Hookers, passed away on January 27, 2010. The family wanted the local rug hooking groups to have her wool, so we had two pickups and three cars loaded to take to the monthly gathering here in Kerrville. It was a sad time; however, everyone had so much fun choosing wool and sharing memories of LoisLee. What wool was left, we took to the Fredericksburg Hooking Gathering, and then to the Blanco Hooking Gathering. Some was given to the hooking group in Mexico, so Loislee will be in many a rug in the future! We will miss her tremendously, but her legacy lives on through the generosity of her husband and daughter."

Region 9 joins the Kerrville Rug Hookers in remembering LoisLee's legacy. A couple of her beautiful rugs are featured in Cynthia Norwood's book, CREATING AN ANTIQUE LOOK IN HAND-HOOKED RUGS. She hooked "Ligonier Duo" on page 6, and "Magdalena's Dogs and Crows" on page 39.
