Kerrville is coming!

Looking for a rug camp this fall?  Here is one that will be excellent.  It is held at the Kerrvile Arts and Cultural Center in the middle of the gorgeous hill country of Texas.

ANNUAL KERRVILLE, TX TRADITIONAL & PRIMITIVE RUG CAMP, November 11-13, Kerr Arts and Cultural Center, 228 Earl Garrett, Kerrville, TX.  UPDATE: Instructors include Pam Van Lieu and Karen Maddox, both certified McGown teachers.  Rug show, evening hooking. Additions include a Braided Rug Demonstration with kits that can be ordered and on Saturday we will have a masseuse available to help relax those shoulders!  We have streamlined the classes and are offering the following two classes:

“HERE COMES SANTA CLAUS”   ---    Pamela Van Lieu
Looking for a unique Christmas decoration? Then join me for a trip down “Santa Claus Lane,” and hook a 3 dimensional 15” stuffed, free standing Santa.  Choose from a primitive jolly St. Nick or a charming fine cut shaded Father Christmas.  It is an interesting and fun project that can easily be completed in time for Christmas.  Your class materials include pattern, foundation, wool, stuffing and embellishments to complete your whimsical Santa.  Feel free to bring your own project and I will assist you with techniques and/or color planning.

Looking for a special Christmas decoration or gift?  This project can be finished for Christmas gift giving or for decorating your home.  Combine hooking and proddy poinsettias for a dimensional effect.  Instruction on shaping poinsettias will be given and hooking the leaves and stamens will be shown.  The class will include the pattern drawn on the foundation which has been dyed, so the background does not need to be hooked. If you prefer, you may work on another project of your choosing.

Braided Rug Demonstration Information
See a demonstration on how to make a reversible braided rug!  We will help you get started on your own braided rug and show you how to finish it.  Information available to order your clamp, twill and wool so it will be ready for you to use.
