We had a wonderful time yesterday at the Kirby Midsummer Hook In. The Out Of Africa theme was so much fun. Some attendees even dressed for the event with animal print shirts and aprons. It was a special event for me because it was my second year as a vendor, and I had so much fun preparing for it and setting up the tables. Also it was fabulous getting to see the Seeing Red Exhibit set up by Martha Lowry (which I will post my reflections about later). A big congratulations goes to the winners of the Best of Show (Liz Fox for her leopards rug) and Safari Challenge (Pat Altman for her safari rug). A huge thanks goes out to Lurie McAdow for organizing the show and everyone from the Kirby Hooking Circle who helped with the organization, especially Tony Noble, Louise Mercer, Janie Kennedy, Jo Leland, and Cindi Patton.
